Adams Industries - Adams and Sons Trucking Company 1987

Our History at Adams Industries

Adams Industries, Inc. was founded in 1987 as a vision of the late Robert (Bob) Adams and his son, Donald (Don) Adams. The Company was established with the foundation of customer service and dedication to the well-being of our employees and community as top priorities. Don’s children later joined the Company as the third generation to carry on these values: Zach Adams, President/Chief Executive Officer; Josh Watchorn (son-in-law), Chief Financial Officer; and Megan Price, Human Resource Manager.

The Company’s roots extend to the early 1960s as Bob’s Water Service, hauling water to various drilling rigs throughout Nebraska and Colorado. Don later established Don’s Trucking in 1984 to assist his father. The father-son duo then officially merged in 1987 to become incorporated as Adams & Son Trucking, Inc. Upon Bob’s retirement in 1993, Don transitioned into President of the Company and continued the expansion by purchasing Tezak Transportation in 1994. When Sidney Warehousing was purchased in 2000, the dynamics of the Company extended into indoor and outdoor storage and project-based opportunities. In 2003, a brokerage division, Adams and Son Transportation LLC was formed to handle excess freight volumes. The Company later added trucking and logistics terminals in Commerce City, Colorado and later in Houston, Texas in 2008.

In 2009, the Company rebranded to Adams Industries, Inc., with its sister companies Adams Trucking, Inc., Adams Warehousing, LLC., and Adams Logistics, LLC. It was in 2013 that the Company officially established these sister companies under the parent Company, Adams Industries, Inc.

The Company continues to emphasize the importance of customer service through entrepreneurial spirit by establishing operations as needed to reflect the full range and scope of what we can do for our customers. The Company maintains several divisions to support our customers fully through supply chain services including trucking, logistics, maintenance, equipment sales and leasing, rail movement and storage, and indoor and outdoor storage.
